It’s a Westside Welcome for Saginaw Sunset!

We always love a challenge and we love learning about new things. Being at the top of our marketing game is pivotal to our business and so is research. Saginaw Sunset, specializes in custom, green home-building; which wasn’t always our forte. With Jim & Nunzie, we had the opportunity to learn more about green home building, what it is, and what it isn’t. Jim & Nunzie rounded out our research with incredible resources and helped us gain a thorough understanding by supplying great books, leads in the local community for interviews, and on-site training from their own past research. We are extremely excited to share with you our start for the branding of their new, custom community being built locally in the River West Neighborhood.

Jim Guild Construction, owned by Jim & Nunzie, has been building in the Central Oregon community for over 30 years. They receive great feedback from their customers; and their contractors, some of which they have 15+ year relationships with. The fun part for us is that they truly love their job and are inspired by other local craftsmen and artists. We had the chance to visit some of their previous homes, which showcased hand-made tiles in the showers, laser cut ventilation panels with animal silhouettes, and doorknobs that they’ve spent years hunting down. Their work is truly one-of-a-kind and they are making no exceptions at their new development, Saginaw Sunset.

Following initial conversations, we started to take a look at the preliminary branding they had begun. As a result of our research, it was decided they needed a more upscale brand to reach their target audience. We sat down together and listed out the top selling points they wanted portrayed in a logo: the hillside, the name, green, and lightness. Our designer, Bethany, spent time crafting several options for their review; and after careful consideration, they made the following choice. They love it and we hope you do too!

When we mention green home building, several ideas may come to mind and we’ve read about all of them. Nunzie & Jim agree with everything from solar energy to the direction the house faces to the materials it’s made out of; but, what sets them apart, is that they believe a true green home is one that you never have to leave. The spaces are usable so you won’t need to downsize; the materials are long lasting, so they won’t need to be replaced every 5-10 years; and an elevator shaft will be built in to each of their homes. In addition to these qualities, they are also looking at new ways to reuse storm water, improve ventilation systems, and much more. They truly are, Building for Beyond, how’s that for a catchy tagline?
